Summary:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Follow and model the Columbia safety standards.
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment (CNC-controlled machines, manual machines, and support equipment) Gathering and analyzing information from internal customers to resolve maintenance issues.
Troubleshoot alarm and fire systems as needed Basic Lighting, changing ballasts and bulbs Working knowledge of hand tools Basic facilities maintenance tasks

Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
LEAN Principles Hydraulic troubleshooting Intermediate computer skills Intermediate Math Skills Pneumatic troubleshooting Safely rig and move parts and machinery Basic Welding Intermediate written and oral communication skills Intermediate Preventative Maintenance Leveling Ability to foster and work within a team environment Actively participates in safety programs and complies with all Columbia safety policies Able to work on multiple projects at one time Willingness to work overtime when needed Displays attention to detail and consistently follows Standard Work Instructions (when available) when completing tasks Demonstrates the qualities of a Team Player by accepting new responsibilities and filling in for other employees when needed Self-motivated and has the ability to work with supervision Communicates well with peers, supervisors, customers, vendors, and other departments Ability to respectfully mentor fellow employee Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or GED 3-5 years of maintenance experience or related field desired No written performance issues during the previous 6 months 12 months at the previous level preferred Minimum of 3.
