98 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago The Veterans SSS Student Success Advisor is primarily responsible for providing holistic guidance to assigned program participants through consistent and proactive evaluation of participant academic progress, intervention with appropriate support, and referral to appropriate resources.
The Advisor develops, implements, and supports the daily delivery of services to participants and is responsible for the maintenance of assigned participant records.
Additionally, the Advisor will ensure participants meet requirements of active involvement in the program so that the goals and objectives of the grant are met.
Individuals with previous US Armed Forces service experience and/or affiliation, from limited-income households, first-generation backgrounds, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Priority consideration will be given to current graduate students enrolled in Washington State University.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and experience providing student/client services Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills Knowledge of and/or experience with barriers to college success for underrepresented students and Veterans Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge of academic regulations, policies, and procedures in higher ed Experience working with Veterans and/or academically underprepared and historically excluded students Experience developing academic, career, and cultural events Willingness and availability to work occasional evenings and weekends This position is located on the WSU Vancouver campus.
