Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within a geographical region.
Key concerns are scheduling of work during peak customer presence.
Repairs that concern the public/customers should have precedence before general repairs as long as they're not a distraction to the dining experience.
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, roof repairs, door, tile, and sheetrock repairs, and other tasks and needed or assigned.
This position will be involved in corrective and preventive maintenance and may oversee other trades persons or contractors as required.
This position often works independently and may require 24/7 availability.
Performs maintenance activities to ensure proper safety, sanitation, and mechanical functions for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Works with Facilities Project Manager to ensure work is completed by subcontractors in a timely manner.
Complete new construction and major remodel projects under the guidance of the PIC.
Infrastructure knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire & safety is a plus Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
without assistance, as needed Must be able to work on ladders up to 20 feet Must have valid Driver's License and valid vehicle insurance This is a full-time position at the Restaurant Support Center requiring daily local travel and occasional out of town travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Complete repair & maintenance requests from restaurants Performs preventive maintenance service, emergency repair, and cosmetic repair on restaurant equipment and property Assist where necessary in the installation of equipment resulting from special projects Perform a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of fabrication/processing, materials, tools, machines, and equipment relative to restaurant Perform minor plumbing repairs and maintenance Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work Perform minor door, tile, sheetrock, and roof repairs Inspects buildings to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair Assess major repairs needed and reports to Facilities Project Manager with recommended solutions Assess and compile list of capital expense projects as needed Prioritize level of urgency and work independently Responds to emergency situations at the sites as required Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities as needed Hangs pictures and shelving as needed Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Order parts and maintain required documents PERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Communication Proficiency:
Able to communicate, both verbal and written, at a high level with individuals at different levels of the organization and with different backgrounds and skills sets as well as individuals outside the organization.

Technical Capacity:
Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and roofing.
Ability to use a wide variety of tools.
Ability to read blueprints.

Experience:
