Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to establish accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plansProvide medication management and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications, following evidence-based guidelines and considering patients' unique needs and preferencesUtilize clinical assessment skills and therapeutic techniques to provide counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and families, addressing a wide range of mental health concernsCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for patientsMonitor patients' progress regularly, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing follow-up care to optimize treatment outcomesEducate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for management of symptomsDocument all clinical assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to legal and regulatory requirementsStay current with the latest research and advancements in psychiatric nursing, attending relevant conferences and engaging in continuous professional development activitiesRequirements:
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited programCurrent, unrestricted license as a registered nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in WANational certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)Minimum of two years of experience working as a PMHNP, preferably in an inpatient settingStrong clinical knowledge and expertise in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders across the lifespanProficient in conducting psychiatric assessments, differential diagnoses, and appropriate treatment planningExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting and therapeutic relationships with patients and their familiesFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) and experience with documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirementsAbility to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and cultural sensitivity Apply Unless noted above, applicants MUST be authorized to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.
