JOB SUMMARY
Provides patient care by assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing and evaluating patients following the nursing process and established standards; participates as a member of the healthcare team by communicating and documenting pertinent patient information and providing patient and family teaching; the core values of Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety and Respect are integrated comprehensively into the work environment; maintains current competency requirements, both initial and targeted.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing

1
years'' experience in Emergency nursing or graduate of the Southwest Washington Medical Center s Emergency Department Internship program or equivalent education and/or experience

May require pediatric experience

WA State RN Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire

Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to effectively communicate clinical information

Strong analysis/problem solving skills

Strong organization skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently or as part of an interdisciplinary team

Computer skills

Ability to teach

Knowledge of nursing processes and practices

Work requires the ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or less
PREFERRED
Qualifications:

BSN

Acute care nursing experience

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
