This is our direct-client opening for a Clinical Data Analyst located in Vancouver, WA. This is a full-time OR contract-to-hire position and the salary range is in the 65-78K range, depending on experience. Our client is only interested in candidates who are local to the area since no relocation is being offered.
Responsible for developing strategic reporting and analysis in support of business and clinical decisions. Responsible for data analysis for Clinical and Quality Review. Maintains multiple quality-related datasets/databases and associated decision support tools. Works with executive and director level decisions makers, key stakeholders, end users, and team members to collect, compile, interpret and deliver comprehensive data analysis to enhance business and quality intelligence. . Responsible for compiling a comprehensive executive strategic reporting package.
Responsibilities:
Develops reports from multiple data sources, analysis and presents findings and recommendations to key stakeholders using trends, graphs and statistical analysis for core clinical measurements such as Clinical Outcomes Assessment Program (COAP).
Employs complex reporting methodology to analyze and present information related to Claims data, Population, Demographic, Utilization, Disease and Wellness management.
Projects the financial and clinical impact based on data trends, marketplace and/or industry trending.
Presents data trends and projections in to executives and management; interpreting data to show alternative outcomes for business and quality projections and possible plans for mitigating risk, improving quality, improving financial investment, increasing productivity and enhancing overall business intelligence.
Works with various clinical and non-clinical departments to coordinate and improve data collection
Works with departments to recommend process improvements as a result of findings through data analysis.
Creates queries, reports, and interprets data to meet federal, state and accrediting regulations for and in support of clinical effectiveness programs
Works with the IS Director and other Information Services professionals in a highly collaborative team environment to develop comprehensive reporting, without duplication of efforts, clearly defining roles and responsibilities and working within the departments checks and balances.
Develops and maintains data solutions using analytical and clinical data systems
Coordinates the planning, defining, and testing of new measures, development and documentation of data or automation collection processes, validates data accuracy, and improvement of data collections
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
Knowledge of healthcare business and clinical operations
Understanding of healthcare regulatory and quality reporting requirements
The ability to understand multiple database sources and the systems used to collect the data
Must be able to initiate, engage others, learn and interpret strategic vision, business systems, business and clinical processes for the proper interpretation of data.
Understanding of data transformation, database design, and program life cycle concepts
Proficiency with one or more of the following: SQL Server Tools, Data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, Cognos, etc.)
Query writing capabilities (SQL Server TSQL)
Strong oral, written and presentation skills
Strong Clinical Analysis and problem solving skills
