Our client, a mid-sized design consulting firm specializing in technology products is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their collaborative (and dare we say, fun?) team. The Electrical Engineer will design and evaluate electronic components and circuitry, while on a team with a strong leader (NOT micromanager!) who facilitates creativity and delegates technical expertise. A sense of humor, strong work ethic, ability to interface happily with people, and ability to manage your own deliverables are all required characteristics of the right person for the company and team.


The Electrical Engineer will:
Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic components and circuitry for diverse electronic equipment and systems.
Analyze equipment to establish operating requirements, conduct experimental tests, and analyze the results.
Select components and equipment based on an analysis of specifications and reliability requirements.
Apply mastery of relevant subject matter knowledge, including technologies, theories and techniques. Contributes to or develops innovative approaches, principles and ideas and applies them in developing highly innovative solutions.
Lead and/or direct feasibility testing on new and modified designs. Establish test methodology, performance criteria, and critical process performance parameters and measurement tooling to ensure functionality at volume and manufacturability in the appropriate manufacturing settings. Ensure designs deliver the required reliability over part tolerance ranges, operating environments, and projected product life.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop criteria required for design documentation needed to support manufacturing, assembly, and system performance verification. This may include schematics, printed circuit board layout and mechanical 2D drawings, test documentation, manufacturing and/or assembly instructions, troubleshooting, operating manuals, etc.
Provide mentoring and guidance to team members with less experience or expertise.

Requirements for this position include:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and 8
years related experience or a Master's degree and 6
years of experience in the design of electrical and/or electronic systems.
Knowledge requirements include analog and digital electronics, C-language and assembly language programming skills, computer-aided design software for electronic schematic entry, circuit board layout, and software/firmware development, electronic test equipment, and electrical and electronics manufacturing methods.
Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.
Extensive working knowledge of Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Verilog, OrCAD, or other electronics computer aided design tools.
Demonstrated ability in using initiative to identify and solve complex system level issues.
Ability to plan work and accomplish challenging objectives with a little or no direction.
Excellent analytical and empirical system level problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to apply statistical methodology in evaluating design and system performance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
