Manufacturing Supervisor (Third Shift)

nLIGHT is seeking an experienced Third Shift Production Supervisor to join our Laser systems factory team.
This third shift supervisor will focus specifically on a production line ramp in nLIGHT's High-Power CW Fiber Laser system factory. You will lead your team to reach and maintain nLIGHT's high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. You will have frequent interaction with the supply chain team and be responsible for all grave-shift activities across the factory as the first shift of the production daily cycle. You need to be a highly motivated leader and manager with a proven track record with Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
Functions
Derive, build or otherwise enhance business processes which support operational excellence in the production environment
Take primary ownership of hourly employee on boarding/training systems on the production floor and other communication flow downs of standard work
Train, develop and manage team members to achieve aggressive output goals
Coordinate work flow through multiple departments and across shifts
Lead and report out in daily manufacturing meetings
Lead LEAN, 5-S, value stream mapping, and continuous flow activity
Identify staffing needs and assist in capacity planning
Requirements
Proven skills as a professional team builder and leader

years supervisor experience with hands-on general assembly processes
Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences preferred
Semiconductor supervisory/management experience desirable
Proficient in current production methodologies and metrics (KPI's)
Experience with LEAN and 5-S implementation and maintenance
Proven ability to drive continuous-improvement approach to production
Proven ability to work with strong personalities, and bring them together as a team
Demonstrated ability to successfully work with minimal direction
Ability to communicate effectively (in both written and oral form) with employees of various backgrounds, education, and national origin
Ability to investigate and lead solutions to manufacturing constraint issues
Basic understanding of computer business applications and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
