Hardware engineers work in project teams delivering new inkjet printer products and platforms. You will participate in all aspects of product development to bring innovative new products to market.
Responsible for static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems and equipment. Designs and develops products, processes, systems and scientific applications using broad engineering concepts and research techniques or through directing and providing technical consultation to third parties. Documents research and design specifications and facilitates transitions of product designs to full production.
As a member of an R&D design team tasked with delivering market-leading printer mechanism design, your work will include conceptualization, design, prototyping, testing, characterization, system analysis and documentation. Active participation in the identification, prioritization, coordination, and resolution of overall system integration design issues is expected. Close cooperation with partner R&D labs, manufacturing, marketing, customer assurance and with various external partners is required.
Description - Create ME designs necessary to deliver an integrated material recovery system (MRS). The MRS is a key component of the overall system; delivering extracted parts to the customer and recycled powder to the system.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 4-6 years experience
Knowledge and Skills
Strong ME Design skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Designing sheet metal and plastic parts and associated production tooling and processes
Algorithm development experience (plus)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options
