Regional Manager of Field Accounting - Assisted Living

Candidate must live in Arizona or California and have the ability to travel to a portfolio (around 10) of assisted living communities in both states.

Various POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for training and auditing in the Skilled and Assisted Living Communities, working with Central Support to ensure accuracy of financial statements and accounting systems.

ESSETIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Works with Administrators and Executive Directors in the screening of applicants and the hiring of new business office staff.
Develops and implement systems to monitor accounts receivable collections ensuring all collections are being tracked and pursued.
Assist in AR Month End Review.
Trains new Business Office Managers and Administrative Assistants and be active as the mentor for the Area Business Office Specialist, Business Office Managers and Administrative Assistants.
Audits accounting records for accuracy, organization, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring all accounting functions will be fulfilled at the facility during business office staff vacancies and leaves.
Works with the Central Support staff developing and implementing accounting changes and systems.
Assists in development of policies and procedures and ensures execution in the business office.
Assists the Administrator and Executive Directors in ensuring the business office staff is meeting assigned due dates and deadlinesCompletes Visits Reports and audit results as required and submits results to the Director of Field Accounting by set deadlines.
Attends Operations management meetings as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents' families, visitors and staff.
All information obtained in the field, or at Central Support, is kept strictly confidential.
Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the residents, employees, QUALIFICATIONS Must have two or more years long term care accounting experience including preparing accounting procedures, training on accounting tasks and computer data entry.
Have a current driver's license and access to a personal car.
Excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills.
Ability to creatively problem-solve, be a team player, be well organized, and flexible.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Accounting degree or a minimum of 2 years accounting experience in the long term care industry.
Experience with accounting systems used by the company.
Prior experience in the development and training in accounting procedures and rules and multi-site coverage an asset.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Able to communicate effectively, in English, with personnel at all levels of the organization, with residents and their friends and family, and with members of the community.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Computer skills a must.
